The Stable Communities Initiative hosted a free afternoon workshop titled "Exploring Lease Purchase" at the NeighborWorks Training Institute in Washington, DC.  Roy Nash of NeighborWorks Waco in Waco, Texas & Bill Brett of Homeport Ohio in Columbus, Ohio shared strategies for their successful scattered-site rental and lease purchase programs.  Many NSP grantees have proposed lease purchase as a "Plan B" to put foreclosed units back into productive use.  This workshop explored whether a lease purchase strategy might be right for your organization.
