Using Smartphones for Planning

As smartphones become more widely used, planners are looking at ways to use them as tools for citizen engagement and participation. Some apps and mobile websites enable planners to gather input from residents, such as pictures of potholes and nuisances, and also provide them with a method of delivering information on public meetings. The instructor for this course is Dr. Jennifer Evans-Cowley, Professor and Section Head of City and Regional Planning at the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University.
