Building Communities of Opportunity: Highlights from President Obama’s 2012 Budget
A proposed 2012 budget has been released by President Obama and includes a plan for growing “communities of opportunity.” The framework includes support for innovation, transportation, clean energy infrastructure, education and more. This document examines these plans as well as the budget areas that will see financial cuts. The primary goal is to grow the economy and create jobs by investing in infrastructure such as surface transportation, sustainable community development plans, economic growth, clean energy and more.
