Green Development Strategies and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program: A View From Columbus, OH

This case study covers the green building practices taking place in Columbus, Ohio in partnership with the Enterprise Community which include rehabilitation specifications based on the Green Communities Criteria. The standards and specifications are outlined in a manual called the AWARE Manual -- Accessible, Water Conservation, Air Quality, Resource Conscious and Energy Efficient -- created by Columbus and Franklin Counties. The other key components to the green program include ongoing education, strong partnerships and sharing of knowledge.
