Entrepreneurs Receiving Help

This story highlights Community Ventures Corporation, which has helped small businesses get started and/or expand through its loan-assistance and business-counseling program. Options for businesses include loans such as Jump-Start Loans, Microenterprise loans or 504 loans through the Small Business Administration. CVC also helps entrepreneurs develop their business and marketing plans. Those who obtain loans must complete the eight-hour business and feasibility class and submit an approved business plan. Through this program, CVC has helped to create more than 200 jobs in Kentucky’s Henderson, Union, Webster and McLean counties.
