Foreclosures Up in 72% of Major Metros but Down in Hardest-Hit Areas
Research related released by RealtyTrac shows that the metropolitan areas with the highest foreclosure rates are experiencing a decrease in foreclosure activity. However, the foreclosure issue has continued to grow in other areas as the unemployment issue becomes more widespread. Even though the hardest hit cities have experienced improvement, RealtyTrac’s CEO James Saccacio said that foreclosure levels were still five to 10 times higher than they should be.
