A Lifeline for Struggling Borrowers

Mortgagekeeper.org (www.MortgageKeeper.org) is a referral service database that lists hundreds of nonprofit and government resources from across the nation that can help borrowers remedy their financial and housing issues. The database includes up-to-date resources for 75 markets in all 50 states.

The purpose of this program is to link people who are having financial difficulties and are not aware of their local resources with the help that they need. The database only lists resources that are reputable and qualified, and community services that are vetted. The website allows subscribers to provide homeowners with their available options quickly. MortgageKeeper is available to servicers and housing counseling organizations, who can use it as a resource when working with consumers.
