In 2020, Boston’s housing crisis peaked with skyrocketing rents and long waitlists, all against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. Combined with the heightened awareness of racial injustice after George Floyd’s murder, these challenges underscored the urgent need for systemic change. In response, the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation reimagined its approach to addressing these intersecting crises.
