NeighborWorks America’s Invested Once. Affordable Forever. report explores eight years of investment in shared equity housing and the infrastructure needed to expand permanently affordable homeownership. Through five dedicated congressional appropriations beginning in 2019, NeighborWorks invested $12 million to strengthen the national infrastructure for shared equity homeownership. The report highlights the Shared Equity Housing Initiative’s results across the NeighborWorks network and shares lessons about how funding, professional learning, technical assistance, peer exchange and capital strategies can help organizations build and scale sustainable shared equity programs.
